TIPS TO FIND YOUR LOST PET

Contact Local Agencies
Reach out to animal shelters, animal control agencies, humane societies, rescue organizations, and veterinary clinics. File a lost pet report with every organization within a 60-mile radius. Visit nearby shelters daily if possible.

Search Your Neighborhood
Walk or drive your area multiple times each day. Speak with neighbors, mail carriers, and delivery drivers. Share a recent photo of your pet and your contact information.

Use Online Resources
Post on Facebook, Craigslist, local community pages, and lost pet networks such as For The Love of Louie. Local newspapers can also help spread the word.

Avoid Scams
Be cautious when someone claims they found your pet. Ask them to describe the pet first. Do not send money. Legitimate finders will not require payment for return.

Don’t Give Up
Pets have been reunited with their families after weeks or even months. Continue checking shelters and following up on leads.

 PREVENTION TIPS
